Myself I am a Postdoctoral Scholar in Nielsen Lab in the Department of Integrative Biology at UC Berkeley. I am from Jeju Island in South Korea.
Background B.S., Statistics, Seoul National University, 2001
MStat courses completed, Statistics, Seoul National University, 2002
Ph.D., Statistics, The University of Chicago, 2008
Postdoc, Integrative Biology, UC Berkeley, 2008-present
Research My research interests focus on statistical genetics of complex diseases and comparative genomics. Complex trait mapping has been tackled seriously in the literature, but the known variants so far explain only a small fraction of variability in complex trait. I am tackling the problem with Nex-Generation sequencing data. I am also have worked on studying evolutionary aspects of non-coding regions in the human genome with Jonathan Pritchard and Peter McCullagh
