| Myself | I am a Postdoctoral Scholar in Nielsen Lab in the Department of Integrative Biology at UC Berkeley. I am from Jeju Island in South Korea. |
| Background |
B.S., Statistics, Seoul National University, 2001 MStat courses completed, Statistics, Seoul National University, 2002 Ph.D., Statistics, The University of Chicago, 2008 Postdoc, Integrative Biology, UC Berkeley, 2008-present |
| Research | My research interests focus on statistical genetics of complex diseases and comparative genomics. Complex trait mapping has been tackled seriously in the literature, but the known variants so far explain only a small fraction of variability in complex trait. I am tackling the problem with Nex-Generation sequencing data. I am also have worked on studying evolutionary aspects of non-coding regions in the human genome with Jonathan Pritchard and Peter McCullagh |
